The beautiful island of Krk (the golden island) is Croatia’s largest island and has been attached to the mainland by a road since 1981. The airport servicing Rijeka has regular flights from Luton 4 times a week and Bristol 3 times a week with Easy Jet and Croatia Airlines from London. The island boasts a very developed road network with regular public transport enabling tourists to travel easily around the island and more importantly to the beach at Baska. This blue flag, sandy beach is nearly 2km long and is a haven for tourists.

Frequent Ferries link Krk various mainland points and also the surrounding islands of Rab, Cres, Brac, Hvar and Korcula.

Krk has 15 diving centres on the island and there is a huge choice of watersports including watersking, jet skiing, paragliding, tubes, banana lifts, waveboards boat hire and pedalinos, there are even two ski lift facilities for waveboarders. Family’s are attracted by the host of sports and activities with childrens playgrounds and every conceivable family sport.
The capital has an abundance of monuments, churches and museums and a host of bars and restaurants. Accommodation is scarce during the season as this popular tourist hotspot is always in great demand!

Cizici
The Luxury Bayview apartments are located in Cizici, a small village on the north west side of the island 2 km from Rijeka Airport and 70 km from Pula. Sailing is hugely popular and the local Marina is a handy 100 metres away in the Village. This area is a dream for every traveller who searched for the untouched beauty of Croatia. The small village has just 150 inhabitants whose expertise is mainly wine producing and fishing. Cizici boats a handful of restaurants including Italian influences and seafood cuisine. The  village is perfectly placed for exploring the rest of the region with the lively centre of Mallinska just 6km. Rijeka on the mainland 30km and the rest of the istrian coast to explore including the National parks and Plitvice Lakes
